About me

My name is Ursa and that’s how I look like:

The Cheerful Wanderer

This image was taken in New York City, one of my favourite places I have ever visited. I travel part-time, whenever I can. Most of the destinations that have been crossed off my never-ending list are in Europe, because that’s where I’m from. Have you ever heard of Slovenia? It’s a tiny country in southern Central Europe, bordered by Italy to the west, Austria to the north, Hungary to the northeast, Croatia to the south and southeast. We have Adriatic Sea and the Alps. The best part is that these two are just 2 hours apart! But enough about that, I’m supposed to introduce myself. So…

As an European I’m privileged to have several cheap options to travel. Either by bus, train or airplane. My solo-wandering around Europe started some years ago, probably when I was 18, and after my trips to Spain, I was completely hooked. I made it my rule to try at least one traditional dish while in the foreign country and as a big beer lover, I’m always curious about the brands I can’t find home. I believe everyone can travel if only they wish to and that’s the idea behind this blog. I want to show you all the sacrifices you make, are worth it. However, the blog was mainly started so that I could collect all my memories at one place. My friends often joke I have no memory at all – not far from the truth. To sum it up, this is a place for me and you. Thanks for taking your time.
